ETRIOLLA Wing GVT

Last week, I had the opportunity with colleagues from Bristol to carry out the ground vibration testing (GVT) of a 6.5m 2-tonne wing as part of the ETRIOLLA Clean Sky project. The wing is a scaled model of a regional jet aircraft and will eventually be tested in France in one of the ONERA’s wind tunnel facility.

The structure was excited using two LDS V406 shakers and instrumented with 32 sensors (2 force sensors and 30 accelerometers). Random and sine-sweep data were collected and used to perform linear mode identification between 5-200 Hz.
